Design Your Ideal Dad Day (and Actually Live It)

Simple weekly challenges to recharge yourself, align with your partner, and make family fun unforgettable.

Whoops! Missed a couple Bulletins. Forgive me.

Thick of Dad and work mode over here 😂

AAAANNNND we’re back…

1️⃣ For Me: Design Your Ideal Day—and Live It 🌞

Pause. Think about it.
What does your ideal day look like?

Not the fantasy yacht version with a private chef and unlimited naps (though, solid plan and I’m available if you want company on that one 😉).
We’re talking about a day you could actually live. This month.
Something like:

  • Wake up early without your phone

  • Workout + coffee with no rush

  • Time with family

  • Uninterrupted hobby time

  • That thing you've been putting off... DONE

  • A big ol’ sunset walk + movie night

  • Round of golf at a local favorite course that you don’t frequent

✨Write it down. ✨Schedule it.
And before the month ends—live it. One full day. For you.

You deserve more than just surviving the calendar.

2️⃣ For We (improved romance): Talk About a Shared Goal 🗣️🎯💬

You and your partner? You’re a team.

This week, sit down (yes, sit down) and ask: “What’s something we want to work toward together?”

Maybe it’s:

  • Saving for a vacation

  • Prepping for a family move

  • Paying down debt

  • Getting the kids to bond deeper

  • Tackling that Netflix queue (seriously, that counts if it matters to you both)

Define it. Write it down. Put a reminder somewhere you’ll both see it.
When two people pull in the same direction—even slowly—they go far.

3️⃣ For Free: Try a "Minute to Win It" Family Showdown 🥄🎈🍪

Get ready for the most low-budget, high-energy competition of the year.

Challenge Ideas:

  • Cookie Face: Move a cookie from your forehead to your mouth without hands

  • Scoop & Stack: Move cotton balls from bowl to bowl using a spoon in your mouth

  • Balloon Keep-Up: Keep 2 balloons in the air for a full minute

  • Cup Blower: Single breath, blow a plastic cup across a table; closest to the edge wins.

Winner gets... bragging rights.

Loser? Still wins because they laughed until their stomach hurt.

🔥 This Week’s Dad Quote:

“Sometimes the poorest man leaves his children the richest inheritance.” — Ruth E. Renkel

It’s not about money.

It’s about time, attention, laughter, and presence.

You’re investing daily. And those deposits? They’ll pay off for generations.
